Jim Mattlngly

When I think of Jim Mattingly, I think strong, big voice, kind soul and wonderful artist.  This painting is titled "The Teacher" and it hangs prominently in our home as a reminder of this sweet man.

Over the last month, Jim's beautiful mural that graces the back of Salem's Elsinore Theater has been getting a face lift.   Cleaning, redefining and repainting.

We all are watching, oohing and aaahing over this spectacular sight.

yay for Salem....but a much heartfelt thanks from those that knew Jim as a teacher.
Jim taught us to stand strong as artists and to believe in ourselves.  We loved this guy and we are proud to watch this mural be restored and know he's smiling down at all of Salem.

Visit Willamette University's Hallie Ford Museum of Art Museum Store...now that's a mouthful!

We are thrilled to be working with the Hallie Ford Museum of Art and setting up their museum store.  We've just started but plan to pack it with punch...fun items that you've seen at the Mary Lou Zeek Gallery.  We are thrilled to be working with Willamette University.

Visiting studios.

We've been visiting studios over the last few weeks and can't wait to share.
Rob Bibler and Carol Hausser's new studio is quite the site...beautifully done and almost ready for them to move in.

Rob Bibler, John Van Dreal and Jed Thomas have a stunning show at the Salem Art Association right now.  Take a few minutes to pop over, it's worth the trip.

Lots on our plate.....

We now have moved the downtown gallery to our appointment only gallery space at my home.  It has been quite the process.  This is from the deck of the gallery, looking back at our home.

It's not a long walk for us to get to the gallery space.

Inside we are surrounded by all the same beautiful paintings that were hanging in our downtown gallery space.

We may seem jumbled but we are happy to be home.

Our office is has found a home too.
