This is REALLY an Art Car

that was painted by Phyllis Yes many years ago. The total car is painted to look like lace and it was spectacular! She would like to sell the car but the one person interested wants to repaint it! I promise to throw myself over the hood to keep that from happening!

Take a closer look....such detail.

While visiting, I was blown away by her talent. Her studio was full of her paintings that took our breath away. I felt like I was visiting a "Art movie star".

Oh, the Porsche! I was a college art student when Phyllis painted the lace car. I remember articles in the Wall Street Journal on the lace surface of the car and her ideas about gender. She made me think about the BIG ideas of art and working as an human being and artist. I am so glad that she was my mentor. And who would want to paint that beauty!?

Betsy, Lucky you. I also remember the time when the car had its "debut". It looks amazing in person as does the artist.
